going to start vanq
I'm going to start vanquishing in the kurzick areas...would just a standard discord build work well or is there any key skills i should bring or things i should know about the mobs in that area?
thanks.

I can't say I've tried the Discord build in Echovald, though I had no issues cleaning the forests out with sabway. Most mobs are nothing too dangerous, though keep an eye out for the Wardens. They have a few strong AoE abilities (Splinter Weapon and Churning Earth can shred a party that doesn't scatter quickly enough) though most standard anti-caster strategies tend to make short work of them.

Discordway should be fine. Only reason you'd screw up is if you don't prioritize your targets properly.

I would say standard Discordway should work. If it doesn't, you could always mod it up to work for you in the area that you're in.

[[charge] and [[churning earth]...
Good call, absolutcrobi - that explains why my vanquishes were so damn hard in that area of Factions. Sometimes you fail to take henchman skills into consideration

I'd recommend either taking Erys with you or adjusting a hero for some nice interruptions, because h/h suck at scattering from aoe and by the time they move they'll most likely be dead.
But the earth wardens are common in only about 3 areas of Echovald: Mourning Veil Falls (usualy 2 per group, makes them very dangerous with churning earth, aoe interupts advisable, cof, tease etc); Morostav trail and Eternal grove(not that common, only a few, max 1 per group).
Sabway should breeze right through it, so should Discord.

Discord, sabway, quite honestly anything will work, hard mode isn't that hard at all. As long as you have a decent team build you won't need any of those gimmicks. I vanquish the whole Echovald Forest and Elona using a Healer/Prot Hybrid monk, Gwen as a [[power block]] or [[visions of regret]] and Livia as Minion Bomber. H/H mind you, got me easily enough through the game and through the desolation wich are probably the hardest areas to vanquish.
Just take some brains ingame as well, some smart pulling and patience, you'll be just fine. Also learn to adapt to each situation you're going to. Don't just copy the builds from pvx and slap them into your heroes, understand what and why those skills are used and modify it when needed. Take [[ward against elements] to protect you from a party wipe from those wardens, as well as [[aegis] to deal with the splinter warriors.

I ran two discords and 1 IV healer and pretty much shred through the forest. you should be fine with straight discordway. and remember pulling is your best vanqing friend.
